Product Description

Quintarelli is strongly considered to be the best winery in Veneto (Northern Italy) and amongst the best in the world!

The estate dates back to 1924 but it was Giuseppe Quintarelli (known as Bepi) in charge from the mid-1950s until his death in 2012 who drove its success. In an era that emphasised mass production over attention to detail, Quintarelli made wines without compromise, with labour-intensive methods and painstaking attention in the vineyard.

Every release is a masterpiece, a testament to time, tradition, skill, and passion. You can’t really compare these wines to any other in the region, or anywhere else in the world. They really are in a class and a category of their own.

This 2010 Valpolicella has had 6 years of ageing within the bottle before it was released (similar wines from the region will usually have just 2 years).
The nose is inebriated with powerful notes of cedar, wood smoke, graphite, morello cherry and ripe raspberry. Silky, layered and exceptionally polished on the palate, it flows with the essence of dark cherry, plum, liquorice, dried flowers, savoury herbs, menthol and spices.
