Product DescriptionMade from grapes coming from old vines at Quinta do Crasto averaging around 70 years of age, Quinta do Crasto Reserva Old Vines is an authentic blend of the best that the Douro has to offer. The low yield of these vines, together with the 18 months that the wine ages in French and American oak barrels makes Quinta do Crasto Reserva Old Vines a complex and concentrated wine.Deep ruby in colour. The nose is very expressive, revealing the unique characteristics of the old vines: complex aromas of fresh gum cistus and berry fruit well integrated with light cocoa hints. Elegant on the palate, evolving into a firm wine, with excellent volume and a compact structure made of fresh, velvety-textured tannins. This is a wine with a distinctive identity and a long lingering, balanced finish. We recommend decanting this wine for an hour before drinking.
