An AOC Puisseguin Saint Emilion wine composed of 90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc from 10ha of vines with an average 25 years age. The grapes are fermented in a mixture of temperature controlled stainless steel and cement vats, depending on the particular grapes, with a maceration period of 4 weeks. The wine then benefits from between 10 to 12 months of ageing in oak barrels.
A good complex nose; fruit forward with some earthy notes and a touch of spice. Smooth on the palate with tannins that give a nice ‘grip’ on the finish. A wine that will drinking well young but will cellar for 5-10 years+.
